The Statutory Sick Pay (General) (Coronavirus Amendment) Regulations 2020
- Government has published the Statutory Sick Pay (General) (Coronavirus Amendment) Regulations 2020 (“the regulations”) which come into force from 13 March 2020 (today)
- Regulations will be in effect for eight months starting from today
- Statutory Sick Pay will be available to anyone isolating themselves from other people in line with advice from the Government
- Regulations to provide that SSP will be available from day 1 (not day 4) and allowing employers to reclaim the cost from Government, have not yet been published
