- In the CITB Chief Executive’s update, published 25 February 2021, it was confirmed that the CITB levy Consensus exercise will go ahead this summer.
- Last year it was postponed due to the pandemic and the Levy was suspended, with the CITB focusing on supporting businesses through Covid-19.
- This year employers will be assessed at a reduced rate.
- In the update it was confirmed that registered employers can take part in the consultation from Monday 1 March to Sunday 11 April (which will be available here). Once this feedback on the draft Levy Proposals is collected, the Consensus will take place from Monday 14 June to Sunday 15 August.
- The consultation is in respect of the 2022 Levy Order for the Levy Proposals 2022-25.
- Sarah Beale, CITB chief executive, stated the following:
“From your feedback we know now is the right time to proceed with running Consensus. We’re looking forward to talking with businesses from across the sector to understand their views, and explaining how we’ll use their money to provide the training and the skills that the industry needs.”
